Friday's Fun Question

Hi Ladies,
Here is another fun question.

If you were put in charge of inventing a new holiday, what would it be?

What or why would we celebrate?
Choose a date.
Describe what type of activities would be a part of the celebration.
Most important...What would we eat?

Have fun and I'll give you mine on Sunday. (Yes, I have already answered this question myself.)

BTW...My last round of back shots is this coming Monday. Keep praying.

Well gracious Pamela - the national holiday would be Kelly's Birthday and we'd have cake and ice cream (both chocolate) and everyone would celebrate. Of course there would be gifts.

Or are you looking for something more spiritual in nature. Mine certainly wasn't a humble answer, but I do love my birthday. March 9th!

Okay, mine is not spiritual either, but stems from pure selfishness.

My holiday would be called "Mother's Day Off". It would include a mandatory 24 hours of rest and relaxation for all mothers. Every father and child would be required to send their mother to a hotel/b & b/or other such relaxing place for an entire 24 hour period.

As far as food fare, anything goes...especially chocolate and anything fat-filled. Why? Because on Mother's Day Off, calories are non-existent.

Oh, you may be thinking to yourself, don't we already have a Mother's Day? Yes, but who says Moms don't deserve a whole two days off per year.

Love ya and thanks for the laugh today!

Kelly and Kristen,
You've got the idea!
I'm ready to celebrate both those ideas!
Especially since both involve LOTS OF CHOCOLATE!

Love Pamela

Ok here I go. If I'm gonna pretend, then I'm gonna pretend BIG.

The Holiday - Weekend Warmup Day.

Date - Friday... Yes every one, I'm in charge of this one remember?

Activities - Do WHAT you want, WHEN you want. No schedules necessary. Carnivals, festivals, fairs, and parades everywhere. Designated quiet places would be setup for those who like to watch from the sidelines.

Feast - Everything you might happen to want would be available all day long to choose from as your appetite dictates. Breakfast, pastries, BBQs, roasts, deserts of all kinds would be available everywhere to just grab a plate and eat.

Praying for your back Pamela.
So glad I could help find the quiet little girls. lol

Friend Day would be celebrated with primary colors and balloons would be given to everyone you treasure as a true friend. Balloons would be depicted on cards to send to your close friends. Balloons will symbolize friends brighten my day and give me a lift.

Again .... great idea.

Hi Pamela,
I would love a holiday... that would allow me to spend my day free of guilt about not doing all of the other things that I need to do. I mean... I could, and sometimes do have a day that I don't take care of all of my other duties... but the guilt is still there. A guilt free day.

We have missed you a Bible study. I pray that this coming round of shots will be the "ones" that will set you free from the pain. I look forward to seeing you this Tuesday... hope that you can make it.
Love you lots,
Lynn

For my holiday, I think I'll just jump on over to Edie's holiday, grab a safety pin and clip myself to her and join in on the fun.
