God Is In Control

"God Is In Control."

I have been singing that song in my head all day.
He is in control of the good times, like our vacation, which by the way was wonderful!
We had the best time we have ever had! More about our trip at another time.

God is in control.

Does it seem to you that God will bless your socks off right before a storm hits?

God is in control.

Today I had a meeting at the Christian school where I teach Special Ed resource. It seems that there is not enough funds this year, so my full-time job has become part-time/adjunct faculty. Long story short...my benefits and pay was slashed by almost everything. The school is doing everything it can to keep me on, and for that I am grateful! They have went above and beyond what I would have expected. Everything is contingent on the parents being willing to pay above tuition for Resource services. So my work load and pay will increase as the need for resource services increases, but I still won't qualify for benefits. I am praying hard!

So...God is in control.

I don't mind admitting that my fear factor is fluctuating like crazy! One minute scared to death---the next I'm soaring on the wings of faith and wonder.

I know God will take care of us financially....He has many times before. Yet, I am scared because I will miss the discipline, fellowship, and consistency of working everyday.

At the same time...I have an excited anticipation at seeing what God is fixing to do! Is there something He wants me to do that a full-time job would have been in the way?

So my dear friends here is how you can pray for me:

Pray that I will walk by faith and not by sight.
Pray that we will be able to decipher all the details about my insurance now.
Pray that God will reveal how He is going to take care of this in His time. I wanted a direct e-mail when I got home. Of course He did that...NOT!
Pray that I will have more speaking opportunities. I have two scheduled for September then nothing after that.
Pray that I will have more writing assignments.
Pray that God will lead my husband to the right church position soon. We are close to this one being answered but it isn't final yet!
Pray that we will be an example of faith for our daughter during this time.

Thank you for loving us and praying for us.

I am scared but......NEVERTHELESS....GOD IS IN CONTROL!

Welcome home! God is in control, even when we are OUT of control! So hang in there.

As for the email, I find that KNEE mail works better. LOL.

I hope that God will show you his plans soon and that you will continue to walk by faith.

Oh Sweet Pamela,
I read your blog and just couldn't help but wonder if God is freeing you up to be "the pastor's wife." I will continue to lift you up in prayer. I know this must really be a trying time.

Get into 1 Kings 17. Let God remind you how he provides exactly what is needed, even if he uses unconventional methods.

Love ya girlfriend!

P.S. I want to hear all about your trip. Mine included a four year old son falling into a fish pond!

Pamela, I am and will continue to pray for you. Wow. Seems like a lot of us are facing challenging times in this season of life.
I, too, am excited about what God is going to do. When we get to the beginning of an impossible situation, that's when He can do mighty and wonderful things!
So, let's you and I and all the rest of us step forward (fear and all) in security knowing without a shadow of a doubt that He is in control and he desires good things for us!
Love and Blessings,
Starr

Hi,
Glad to hear that you are back from vacation. I do know that "panic" feeling that plunges in when you realize that your income just took a dive. boy... do I know it well.

Ours took a dive so long ago... I have forgotten what it is like to have enough money. BUT... I know that God is good. I also realize that if our finances never recover... God is still good. I will serve Him and love Him no matter what.

Now... I need to get on that phone to you. What do you have planned for Tuesday night around 6pm?? My little Bible study group is going to meet and go out to eat to discuss our upcoming new study. Want to join us?? If so, let me know. You are always welcome to join in on the study too.

I am praying for you dear sister. You are so right, He is in control. Since yesterday He has made it a point to say that to me several times from numerous sources, including here. Not only that, but that He always goes ahead of us.

Isaiah 65:24 - It shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear.

"God is the one in charge of all that is about to transpire."

"He has the answer in hand before we even voice our need."

As of today I may not have an income. NEVERTHELESS He has already gone ahead of me and has matters well in hand, as He does with you. I pray He will speak peace to your heart as you trust Him.
