What to Bring?

Hey Y'all,
I still don't have the brace yet and we are still in a waiting game again with the army. So keep praying.

Here is a Fun Christmas Question for you.

The Wise men brought Baby Jesus Gold, Frankincense, and myrrh. These represented the best gifts they could offer.

If you could be a wise man/woman today what would you bring?

Also here is a quick look at our next verse in our Bible Study
Acts 1:8

Read my answer and the study next post.
Love you all very much!
Pamela

Oh Pamela, God has been dealing with me the past few weeks regarding this exact question.

You see, over the past months, I have fallen into the trap of thinking that I am the one bringing everything to Jesus as a gift - my writing, my speaking, my Bible reading, being a "good" parent and wife.

What I am realizing is that many times I brought these to Him to earn His approval and to make sure He had something to love about me. Many times, I went to His Word out of fear of missing His blessing, rather than to hear the love letter of My Father.

God is showing me now that for me, it isn't about all I can give. I don't need to "prove" myself. He loves me just as I am and will grow me according to His timetable and plan. I don't need to fear, because "perfect love casts out fear."

So what would I bring to Jesus?

I am learning simply to offer arms outstretched and hands open wide so that I may freely accept His gifts of grace, mercy, forgiveness, and His unconditional love and approval.

Love ya girl.
